우리는, 함께, 16주간, 미디어아트를, 탐구합니다.

기술이 단순한 도구를 넘어 예술적 사고방식과 표현 방식 자체를 변화시키고 있는 지금, 미디어아트는 이제 단순한 ‘트렌드’가 아니라, 동시대 예술을 구성하는 중요한 흐름이 되었습니다.

AT&D School에서는 한국을 대표하는13명(팀)의 미디어 아티스트들을 통해 예술과 테크놀러지, 디자인의 경계에서 새로운 언어를 함께 탐구하는 학교를 시작합니다.

이 프로그램은 기술을 배우는 것이 아닌, 예술가와 기획자, 연구자가 함께 질문을 던지고 실험하는 탐구형 커뮤니티로서 ’학교‘를 지향합니다. 우리는 이곳에서 미디어아트의 개념과 의미를 재고하면서 단순한 기술적 효과를 넘어, 미디어아트가 무엇을, 어떻게 다루고 있으며 앞으로 어디로 나아갈 것인지를 함께 고민할 것입니다.

PROFESSOR | 허대찬(ALICEON 편집장)
허대찬은 기술과 미디어로 조성된 오늘날의 환경과 그 안에서의 현상 및 인간 활동에 관심을 두고 미디어 아트 및 디자인 분야에서 연구자, 큐레이터, 교육자로서 한국의 미디어 아트 활동의 순환 및 아카이빙을 위한 다양한 활동을 진행 중이다. 미디어문화예술채널 앨리스온(aliceon.co.kr)의 편집장(2019-), 게임 연구 집단 더플레이 대표, 한국디자인사학회의 정책홍보이사로 활동하고 있다. 최근 아트센터 나비와 함께 〈Re:spect Media Art of Korea since 2000〉의 공동 기획과 모더레이팅을 진행했으며, 이에 대한 출판에 참여했다.

AT&D School : Art, Technology & Design
Together, we explore media art over 16 weeks.

As technology transforms not just tools but artistic thinking and expression itself, media art has become more than a mere ‘trend’—it is now a vital current shaping contemporary art.

AT&D School launches a program where 13 leading Korean media artists (teams) explore new languages at the intersection of art, technology, and design.

This program aims to be a ‘school’ as an exploratory community where artists, curators, and researchers pose questions and experiment together, rather than merely teaching technology. Here, we will rethink the concepts and meanings of media art, moving beyond simple technical effects to collectively ponder what media art addresses, how it does so, and where it is headed.

PROFESSOR | Daechan Heo (Editor-in-Chief, ALICEON)
Daechan Heo focuses on today’s technology- and media-shaped environment, its phenomena, and human activities within it. As a researcher, curator, and educator in media art and design, he is engaged in various activities to circulate and archive Korea’s media art scene. He serves as Editor-in-Chief of the media culture and arts channel ALICEON (aliceon.co.kr) (2019-), Representative of the game research collective The Play, and Policy and Public Relations Director of the Korean Society for the History of Design. Recently, he co-curated and moderated 〈Re:spect Media Art of Korea since 2000〉 with Art center nabi and contributed to its accompanying publication.
