A new exhibition by curator Seungah Lee at Total Museum of Contemporary Art, Seoul, Korea, opens on November 15 and will be exhibited until 1 December. The exhibition features 13 artists’ works from Korea and Singapore.

Entitled The Senses; Breathe between Excess and Deficiency, the participating artists’ works attempt to look at the idea of conversion and expansion to understand the world in fundamental cognitive senses and awaken the importance of human senses and sensations as pathways for communication and relationship with one another. While the societies of today have technologically changed the spatio-temporal relationships between human and objects through the acceleration of progress, this exhibition proposes a way of experiencing and ‘rethinking’ of the works that are presented in the physical and tangible world with the perspectives of the audience, who will have a chance to recall the experiences and senses they have lost through time, and pausing for a moment from the mundaneness of everyday life in all the digital information they unwittingly accept.
